Before signing up for a shift, please be sure you've attended an orientation first. If you have not done an orientation training, you cannot volunteer with the museum.
We have new Volunteer Roles so please read carefully and choose the role that works best for you!
Education Assistant:
- Help to set up classes (STEM, Nature Explorers, Art Pop-Up, etc.)
- Pass out supplies or set up tables
- Clean up after classes/ reset the space
- Helping the floor staff with supervision, returning toys, and wiping down surfaces.
As an Education Assistant, your priority will be in helping the staff member leading the activities in setting them up, running them, and cleaning up after. Don't worry! You won't be in charge of teaching, you'll be assisting! The Children's Museum staff pride ourselves on making a great and lasting impression on guests, encouraging them back and recommending us to friends and family. To do this, we must maintain a clean, safe and welcoming facility for our guests.
