Volunteer: Kids Day in the Park

Kids Day is a festival geared to families of young children. A fun day of activities for kids and their families, it is also a health and resources fair with providers on hand to share information. The target group is children 12 and younger and their parents. Kids Day has been a favorite Rancho Cordova special event for more than three decades. This year, we are celebrating the 250th Anniversary of the founding of the country, focusing on the beauty around us with “America, the Beautiful.”

Volunteer opportunities include setting up Friday 24th (1-5pm), final touches Saturday 25th (8am-2pm), and event duration and breakdown April 25th (11am-5pm).

Event volunteering includes exhibitor check in, exhibitor assistance, and breakdown.

The Rancho Cordova iFest International Festival celebrates the community’s ethnic diversity and reaches out to newcomer groups by offering them an opportunity to showcase their cultural heritage. The event is a free, family-friendly evening in an outdoor setting. It celebrates the sounds, dance, and tastes from around the world and around the corner.

Volunteer opportunities include setting up Saturday 05/09 (11am-5pm), and event duration and breakdown (4pm-10pm).

Rancho Cordova Fourth of July is a two-day festival and parade celebrating the local community and our American heritage. It is the signature event for the community. We’re celebrating America’s Semiquincentennial this year – we’re 250 years young!

Volunteer shifts vary in skill and ability, including event set up and event dates. We are looking to fill the following roles: 

Set up: Fence Team, Light Tower Team, VIP Team, Volunteer Hub, Flag Team, Bin Team 

Event both days: Ticket Booth Team, Volunteer Hub, VIP Team, Parade Team (morning of the 4th only)

Each year, the historic Mine Shaft property transforms into Rancho Cordova’s most terrifying attraction. For 13 fright-filled nights, brave guests journey through haunted tunnels and eerie hallways where ghosts, ghouls, and zombies await around every corner.

With more than 15,000 visitors each year, Heartstoppers is consistently rated the Best Haunted House in the Sacramento region. But behind every scream is something even more powerful—support for our community.
