Who We Are

Rancho Cordova Food Locker (RCFL) is an official U.S. Department of Agriculture food distribution site and an IRS approved 501(c)(3) non-profit. RCFL provides needy individuals and families in the community with a free emergency supply of food. Our guests come from all walks of life, including the unemployed, seniors, disabled, homeless, working poor, and new immigrants. RCFL was founded by a group of concerned citizens in Rancho Cordova who saw a real need for a local food pantry to feed the hungry. The group, headed by Walter Little and John Healey, met in early 1987 and included both private citizens and representatives from the community's churches and civic organizations. Generous people pitched in to make RCFL a reality. St. John Vianney (SJV) Catholic Church offered use of the Church's property to establish the facility. On April 1, 1987, RCFL began operations and has served the community continuously ever since.

What We Do

The RCFL distributes federally funded and locally donated food, diapers, hygiene products, and PPE to anyone seeking assistance in Rancho Cordova.
