Who We Are
Sierra Service Project’s purpose is to build strong connections and resilience among communities, by equipping volunteers with home repair skills and experience in community-based projects.
We work to make necessary home repairs accessible to historically underserved residents to allow communities to thrive and individuals to safely age in place. Inherent in the purpose is the specific involvement of youth and young adult volunteers.
Our community is passionate about developing an ethic of service and reciprocal learning in all participants to foster a collaborative and thriving world.
What We Do
SSP hosts impactful service-learning opportunities for volunteers of many ages.
Between June 18 - August 5, 2023, SSP will host up to 65 volunteers each week in the Rancho Cordova community for both days and full weeks of service.
Projects will include home repair and community beautification work. No specific skills are needed, and SSP staff train all volunteers in safe power tool usage.
Join us for a week or several days throughout the whole summer to make a difference in your neighbors' lives!
